The Skagit Valley Writers League is a non-profit resource for writers in the greater Skagit Valley area of Washington State. It has been in existence for more than 40 years, having been formed in 1958. Members include published authors as well as those who just like to write for the fun of it. Many have benefited from the camaraderie and general support offered by this vital organization over the years. Whether you're a poet, a journalist, or writing the world's next best-seller, SVWL has something for you. Critiquing sessions, publishing tips, guest speakers and community projects top the list of activities. Meetings are held twice monthly one in the afternoon, and one in the evening. Visitors are welcome at our meetings (no charge). Membership dues are $15.00 per calendar year. Word of the Day
