Connections 2009 ~ October 17, 2009 ~      Skagit Valley Writers League members and guests enjoyed an afternoon of free workshops co-sponsored by the Pacific Northwest Writers Association. Topics covered were: Poetry, Family History as Fiction, Writing for Pleasure, Marketing for Profit, Instant Books with Espresso Book Machine and Marketing to Bookstores.       The workshops, arranged and staffed by SVWL members, were held at the Senior Center in Mount Vernon, Washington. Workshop leaders were Jane Alynn (poetry), Liz Adair (family history), Mary Trimble (writing, marketing), and Chuck Robinson (instant books, marketing to book stores). Many thanks to all SVWL members who made this event possible..

Watermark Book Store in Annacortes	Annacortes Arts & Crafts Fair ~ August 2009 ~      With thanks to Barbara Hoenselor at the Watermark Book Store, we were able to display and sell our Writers League anthologies along with members' published books at this popular event.
